Mountaineering in Scotland
Weekend Scrambling Courses
Our weekend scrambling courses offer the keen walker an opportunity to experience some of the more exciting and challenging ways to the top of Scotland ’s mountains.

Introduction
‘Scrambling’ is the stage between simple walking and technical rock climbing. The routes on these courses all involve the use of hands for balance and upward progress. On some scrambles, ropes, helmets and harnesses may be used and all will involve some exposure. To participate in these courses you should have a good head for heights, a good sense of balance and be able to complete at least a six hour hill day involving rough ground off marked footpaths.
Classic Scrambles
This year we are running three different weekend courses tackling some of the real classic scrambles you’ll find on the Scottish mountains. Choose from Glencoe Greats, Ben Nevis Classics or Skye and the Inaccessible Pinnacle
Your Guide
All our scrambling courses are run by Euan Whittaker, who is a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors. Euan has been climbing, walking and skiing for over 14 years in Britain , Europe and Scandinavia and has been instructing and guiding for over 7 years.
The ratio on all courses is one instructor to three clients. The low ratio allows us to provide a quality service aimed at providing the individual with the safest and best experience possible.

Choose from:
The Glen Coe Greats. Grade:
A two day scrambling course in world famous Glen Coe. Classic routes on classic mountains away from the crowded tourist paths.
