Thank you, David, for a fantastic trip – great weather, great walks, great guide, great food and great fun! Definitely hope to see you on another “wee hill” one day soon. All the best.

GN, Australia , September 2004

Thank you for such an awesome weekend! Our guides were very knowledgeable and provided us with great information on the Scottish mountains, flowers etc. But most of all they were very kind and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed their experience. Thanks again!

SS , USA , June 2004

A great weekend, well guided trips up the Buchaille and Ben Nevis and to the gorgeous Lost Valley . Shame about the rain but we won’t hold it against you! I have really enjoyed this as my first (of many, I hope) trips to the Highlands . Many thanks.

MB, USA , May 2004

One more day of walking ahead. Today left me speechless. Thank you, it has been just what I expected: challenging, surprising, tiring, invigorating, beautiful. While you’re not responsible for Scotland ’s natural beauty, you brought me closer to it – and shared it with me. Thank you again, you are blessed to live here.

EG, USA , June 2004

Scotland rocks and so do you!! I’ve had such a good time on these walks. They challenged me and entertained me and really just fulfilled my need for a gorgeous few days in the Scottish hills. Thank you for all the stories and the flower identification. Your patients and quiet enthusiasm were enjoyed by the whole group. Thanks again!!

  MONARCH OF THE GLEN

This weekend was a delight from start to finish – great company, great guide, great food, great hotel, great hiking, great scenery  - topped off with a visit to Hamish, the great hairy heilan’ coo in Callander!

HM, USA, June 05

Hadn’t realised we would also learn a new (wee) language! Seriously, Newtonmore/Aviemore is quite spectacular and Neil was the perfect guide around the area.

DD , USA , Monarch of the Glen, July 2004

A big thanks to Jon and Walkabout Scotland for a wonderful three days in the Highlands . Very relaxing and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. See you!

SR , UK , August 2004

John – we had a wonderful time – great walks – you’re a great guide – we must do this again, and we’ll recommend Walkabout Scotland to all of our friends.

P & AC , USA , May 2003

  ARRAN

Thank you for introducing me to Scotland. Both the Ben Nevis and Arran trips were fantastic. You live in a beautiful part of the world!

KS, Canada, Aug 05

Brilliant weekend! I can now spell “Arran” – and do you always lay on such good weather?

EW, UK, Aug 05

Paul, the Isle of Arran was a real gem. It astounds me that this isn’t a more commonly known (or used) get-away; all the better for us though eh? I hope to see you next year, once I’ve had a chance to brush up on my Jonny Cash, that is. I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Best regards,

KG , USA , Arran 2003

A great weekend for getting away from it all and taking to the hills! I’d recommend this holiday as an essential add on to any holiday in Scotland because it’s the totally untouristy way to appreciate Scotland – and therefore bound to be the most memorable part – possibly because it gives you that slightly smug feeling of achievement – and having done something that the rest of the world probably hasn’t! Thanks Paul, for sharing your enthusiasm for Arran , for showing us that whilst footpaths are useful, they’re not strictly necessary, and a real version of Stonehenge does just as well! I didn’t need much encouragement to go to Scotland before the Arran weekend and I certainly need much less now!

Janet , UK , Arran 2003.

  SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS WILDERNESS CAMPING

Just want to say thanks for a great fun trip – even though I was a little slow! I has a real laugh and enjoyed the fantastic scenery. Thanks so much!

EP, Wilderness Camping, 2003

Thanks you so much for organising such a great weekend. It was very relaxing and I really enjoyed it. I’d definitely try another getaway should I make my way back to Scotland .
